Client: Marriott Vacations Worldwide
Role: Creative Direction & Designer

While working at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, I was asked to create the logo and brand identity for Malolo, the rooftop food‑and‑beverage venue at Marriott Vacation Club®, Waikiki. The space is a modern, high‑end pool bar with open‑air seating and panoramic views—its defining experience.

Malolo serves Owners exclusively, primarily Japanese and American couples, and blends a relaxed pool‑bar energy with subtle Buddha‑bar influences to create a calm, contemporary atmosphere above the city. The menu features Hawaiian and Asian‑style dishes—pupu, poke, and tropical cocktails—presented with color, craft, and a sense of occasion.

The brand direction draws from classic typography and floral patterns inspired by plants indigenous to Hawai‘i, echoing the resort’s nature and fishing themes. Malolo translates to “flying fish,” a detail that shaped the visual language and supporting graphics throughout the identity.

Sending good energy your way.
